Medical expert Dr. Paul A. Offit participated in an informal Q&A Round Table Discussion at Columbia University Teacher's College. Morningside resident and Teacher's College faculty member, Christine Powalski and MRHS executive director, Ron Bruno, both participated in the discussion. Dr. Offit discusses his newly (2013) released book Do You Believe in Magic? His latest book offers a scathing exposé of the alternative medicine industry, revealing how even though some popular therapies are remarkably helpful due to the placebo response, many of them are ineffective, expensive, and even deadly.
