To turn on the computer, briefly press the power button.
To turn the computer off, Select Start (at the bottom left corner of the screen) > Turn Off Computer > Turn Off. The computer will prepare to shut itself down and after a moment, a screen will display “It is now safe to turn off your computer.” When you see this, briefly press the power button.

Restarting the computer

Occasionally, you may find that the computer has stopped responding and will not let you turn off the computer. If this happens, try the following procedures in the order listed:
    I. If possible, shut down Windows. Hold down CTRL+ALT and press DEL on the keyboard, then select Shut Down, or Restart
II. If possible, restart Windows. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice, successively.
III. Hold down the power button for 4 seconds. The computer will automatically shut down; any unsaved data will be lost.

Using the Mouse

The mouse has two buttons, the one on the left will be referred to as LMB (left mouse button), and the one on the right will be referred to as RMB. (If your mouse has a middle mouse button, don’t worry, you don’t really use it.
Single click with the LMB to highlight, or select, an object, and double click to open it.
Single click with the LMB to type into a text-holding area.
Single click with the RMB on any object to get a list of options pertaining directly to that object.
Single click and hold down the LMB to drag objects across the screen (to store in folders or reorganize desktop, etc.)
