III. MRHS fOLKLORE
by Asa Zatz
Let me begin with a first-time public quote of a world-class quip by a former long-time resident of Bldg. 2, a beloved cousin also responsible for having engineered my final residence (with Alba) in Bldg. 1 of Morningside Gardens.
Losing no more time, the admonition his herewith proffered: YOU SHOULD NEVER OVEREAT TOO MUCH.
Let me close with a brief allusive description of this past Sunday morning. I am in a dreamy second childhood, having recent celebrated its second bar mitzvah and am pushing 99.
Without further ado, I offer an inventory of the medium yellow Fiesta Ware platter bearing counter-clockwise: A harvest-hand Wyoming breakfast of sausage-studded slices with drops of catsup, very ripe fried plantain slices, small squares of French toast soaked in maple syrup, and soft-scrambled egg accompanied, of course, naturellement, also just-not-too dark coffee.
Finally, appreciation for such bonanza to my skilled and considerate keeper, Kareen Campbell.
